SEPTEMBER 2010 - TANIQ introduces Scorpo™ automated rubber winding

SEPTEMBER 2010 - TANIQ introduces Scorpo™ automated rubber winding

Besides the automatic application of the reinforcement structure using Scorpo™ robotics, TANIQ has also developed automated rubber strip winding using Scorpo. Now you can use your Scorpo set-up to apply all rubber and fiber layers automatically. Including the winding of nylon pressure plies for your vulcanisation process. This way you can reduce the material costs of your product and produce it at high speeds with a constant quality. A few example movies of Scorpo rubber winding show how even complex bellowed shapes can be wound accurately with constant tension at high speeds.

JULY 2010 - TANIQ and partners starts Turbo Hose Project

JULY 2010 - TANIQ and partners starts Turbo Hose Project

TANIQ has started an R&D project for a new manufacturing concept for turbo charger hoses, together with her partners Momentive Performance Materials, Teijin Aramid and Delft University of Technology. In the next three years research will be done into optimizing the performance of the hose and developing an efficient automated production solution. TANIQ's focus will be on optimizing the reinforcement structure and on developing methods to accurately apply these cords in a high volume production process. The project has been granted with the EUREKA label by the European Union and is part of the program for High Tech Automotive Systems in The Netherlands. The project also received funding from the Dutch government. Read more about the project in the press release.

JULY 2010 - TANIQ gave a technical presentation at the Teijin Conference

JULY 2010 - TANIQ gave a technical presentation at the Teijin Conference

The 5th Teijin Aramid European Conference was a success with many visitors and interesting speakers from the reinforced rubber products industry. Siebe Nooij, managing director of TANIQ, gave a technical presentation on fibre reinforcement of rubber products. The focus of the presentation was on how an improvement of the reinforcement structure can improve your product performance or reduce your material costs. The second topic was on how industrial robots can be used to manufacture reinforced rubber products of high quality in an automated fashion. Besides a technical presentation, TANIQ made a series of aramid reinforced Champagne bottles for Teijin, which were presented to the speakers at the Conference.
