1. Reinforced rubber product development

We believe that close cooperation is the only way to successful product development. As a manufacturer you have product expertise and experience with the manufacturing process. TANIQ’s strength lies in the optimization of the reinforcement structure and in the accurate application of the reinforcement, rubber and nylon pressure tape layers using robotic equipment. We use this to optimize your product design and set up your production.

We always propose to start the product development process with a feasibility stage. In this stage you will cooperate intensively with TANIQ to determine the commercial and technical feasibility of the project.

How we propose to work

To achieve the customers goals we propose a development in different stages. During each stage we use a result driven approach based on forthcoming insights. Time and budget are set parameters and the detail of functionality to develop is to unfold during the process. Each stage consists of several sprints. Each sprint begins with a meeting in which the customers’ requirements are revisited and re-prioritised. For an optimal result we recommend that one of customers representatives is part of the project team and participates in all sprint meetings.

At the end of each stage TANIQ will deliver:

• An overview of the results & compliance with requirements
• An updated scope of delivery and cost estimate(e.g. for equipment & software)
• A recommendation/quotation for the next stage (if any)

At the end of the stage there will be a checkpoint meeting. Each stage is a means to an end, that is to reach the project goal. Hence if TANIQ is of the opinion that the project goal cannot be reached, then it will advice to abort the project. During the checkpoint meeting the customer and TANIQ will review the results and check their compliance with the project requirements for achieving the end goal. At that stage the customer and TANIQ can decide whether they think the project is viable or not. If the customer decides to continue, then the next stage can be defined and started.

With progress of the stages the level of risk decreases. Simultaneously the level of specification and guarantees (e.g. for the equipment & software offer) increases. Also the customer has the option at the end of each stage to purchase TANIQ’s equipment & software and finish the remaining stages with or without the assistance of TANIQ.
