Trelleborg chooses TANIQ technology
September 2011 - To keep the lead in the manufacturing of high performance rubber goods Trelleborg is always on the lookout for value adding technology. A few years ago TANIQ was approached by Trelleborg, after which a couple of successful product developments followed. During this period TANIQ has customized their technology for Trelleborg’s design and production processes. By using these dedicated solutions Trelleborg can create new product designs and production processes that could not be realized before. Recently, Trelleborg invested in software and robotic equipment from TANIQ for their new manufacturing process. Read more about this in the European Rubber Journal article: Trelleborg invests in TANIQ technology
Since begin 2011 TANIQ has started with the development of software and equipment for various applications. Besides the smart reinforcement technology it involves the high speed and accurate placement of all materials using robotic equipment. This makes it possible to assist product manufacturers with (re)designing their product and production process using TANIQ's technology. Working with a leading manufacturer as Trelleborg enables TANIQ to perform on the highest level. Contact us to discuss the possibilities for your products.
TUFF GUARD available on the US market
April 2011 - TUFF GUARD, the perfect water hose designed by TANIQ for JGB Enterprises is now available on the US market. The TUFF GUARD has a unique design which makes the hose crush free and kink free! In 2009 Jay Bernhardt, owner of JGB Enterprises, leading supplier of hoses and hose assemblies for commercial and military applications throughout the world, approached TANIQ to design a perfect water hose. Together with JGB, TANIQ developed a unique hose design which is truly crush and kink free. The hose design was finalized in cooperation with a US hose manufacturer, who now is manufacturing the hose in the US using a patented production process.
Since this month the TUFF GUARD can already be bought through various stores, web shops and wholesalers. In 2012, the hose will be available in‘big box’ stores like Home Depot and Wal Mart. TANIQ will release design software & robotic equipment per application
April 2011 - In the coming years TANIQ will release design software and robotic equipment for the automated production of a number of applications. The design software enables to make new and custom designs in 15 minutes. The robotic equipment enables to apply all material (and nylon pressure tape) layers on the product mandrel fast and accurately. In the first tests labor cost reductions up to 70% have been obtained.
The first release, for rubber expansion joints with full faced rubber flanges (FRF) is expected in May 2011. TANIQ is also working on the release of other applications such as other types of expansion joints, pipe-plugs, air-springs, elbows and more.
TANIQ introduces Scorpo™ automated rubber winding
September 2010 - Besides the automatic application of the reinforcement structure using Scorpo™ robotics, TANIQ has also developed automated rubber strip winding using Scorpo. Now you can use your Scorpo set-up to apply all rubber and fiber layers automatically. Including the winding of nylon pressure plies for your vulcanisation process. This way you can reduce the material costs of your product and produce it at high speeds with a constant quality. A few example movies of Scorpo rubber winding show how even complex bellowed shapes can be wound accurately with constant tension at high speeds.
