Platform technology for reinforced rubber products

TANIQ’s research focuses on improving fiber reinforcement structures and automated production processes for rubber products. The basis of our research is a platform technology on how rubber products can be reinforced most efficiently. We have developed models to design fiber reinforcement structures of rubber products and models to simulate their behavior (Analytical and FEA). Besides product engineering we also do research and development on automated production processes. We especially focus on using robotic equipment for accurate and fully integrated production processes.

The basics of the platform technology for reinforced rubber products

Ideally the fibers are purely loaded on tensile stress and use 100% of their strength. Under these conditions the fiber structure takes up all the forces. Hence the rubber does not have to take up sheer stresses and is solely used for sealing. This way, both materials are used most efficiently.
