Research on fibre reinforcement structures of rubber products

The fibre reinforcement structure of a rubber product must take up all forces in the product, such that the rubber is solely used for sealing. The optimal reinforcement structure depends on the rubber pproduct shape and intented behaviour under pressure. A few of our recent research projects are listed below. Effects of spiraled reinforcement structures on dynamic behavior of bellow shaped hoses.
Effects of spiraled reinforcement structures on dynamic behavior of bellow shaped hoses. Research on the effects on cross points between fibers in the reinforcement structure on dynamic behavior. One specific research area is to determine if a cross point free structure made with spiraling technology performs better on dynamic behavior.

Braided bellow shaped hoses including prototyping.
Braided bellow shaped hoses including prototyping at Euro Carbon. Research on the feasibility of using braiding technology for the manufacturing of bellow shaped hoses like charge air cooler hoses.

The influence of different fibers  (incl. steel cords) and reinforcement patterns on the abrasion resistance of fiber reinforced Polyurethane products.
The influence of different fibers (incl. steel cords) and reinforcement patterns on the abrasion resistance of fiber reinforced Polyurethane products.Research to determine the influence of different reinforcement structures on the abrasion resistance of reinforced polyurethane products. Samples with different types of fibers and steel cords embedded in polyurethane were developed and tested.

Fiber reinforcement structures for bellow shaped products with cylindrical end sleeves (e.g. expansion joints, turbo hoses) for high pressures.
Fiber reinforcement structures for bellow shaped products with cylindrical end sleeves (e.g. expansion joints, turbo hoses) for high pressures. Research to design a reinforcement structure for sleeve type bellow shaped products which is resistant to high internal pressures. TANIQ can make these type of products with a pressure resistance that is up to 5 times higher than what is available on the market now.
