Rubber bellows optimally reinforced

Ideal fibre path

Fibre on bellow shape
Ideal fibre path on bellow shape
In a fiber reinforced product it is essential that the fibers follow the direction in which the forces must be guided. TANIQ’s reinforcement technology uses the ideal orientation which improves product performance. In the figure such an ideal path is drawn on a rubber bellow at which fibers are used at 100% of their strength. Under these conditions the fiber structure provides all the strength the product needs. Hence the rubber does not have to take up sheer stresses. With TANIQ’s reinforcement technology you can use the materials the way they are meant to be used which leads to a higher product performance using less material.

  • Each rubber bellow only has one optimal fibre path
  • On the optimal path the fibre uses 100% of its strength

Conventional rubber bellow reinforcement

Bellow shape with conventional reinforcement
Rubber bellow with fabric ply reinforcement
WWith conventional reinforcement methods for convoluted shaped products, such as wrapping of fabric reinforced rubber sheets, it is not possible to apply the fibers on their optimal paths on bellowed shapes. Often the difficulty to influence the fiber orientation means that the fiber path deviates many angular degrees from the ideal path. Only 5° deviation from the ideal path already leads to 50 % loss of strength of your product. Another problem is that this makes it impossible to accurately predict and control the shape expansion of the product under pressure.

  • Wrapping fabric reinforced rubber sheets can not place fiber on optimal path on bellow
  • Only 5° deviation from the ideal path leads to 50 % loss of strength

TANIQ: optimal reinforcement for rubber bellows

Bellow shape with Corpo reinforcement
TANIQ reinforced bellow shapes
TANIQ’s reinforcement technology defines the optimal shape of the rubber bellow and the ideal path of the fibers. With this you can control the shape and have the product benefit from 100% of the strength of the materials. Existing highly automated production techniques can be used for the fiber and rubber placement. The benefits are: A reduction of material and labour costs and an increased product performance in terms of flexibility, pressure resistance, weight and control over geometry.

  • TANIQ reinforcement provides optimal reinforcement structure
  • Increased performance in terms of flexibility and pressure resistance
  • Reduction of material and labour cost
